“Altos de Coayllo” urbanisation
"Altos del Coayllo" is located about 100 km to the south of Lima. It is close to the Asia River valley, characterized by an agricultural environment with abundant vegetation that contrasts with the deserted slopes. The nearest urban development is Coayllo.
For the design of the accommodation, the adaptation to the place is taken as a starting point, taking as reference lines the valley of the Asia river, the topography of the land, and the existence of a guayco in the land. It seeks to maintain a relationship with the environment through the search for visuals and the creation of a design that manifests itself as an extension of the valley.
A longitudinal circulation is created that runs through the land as a ring. The roads are conceived as areas for recreation and enjoyment of public space, with vegetation as the main instrument. In addition, the roads are made of stabilised soil, enhancing the rural character of the environment. This allows configuring a green and pleasant urban space that materializes as an extension of the valley. In addition, importance is given to free space, with lots of about 1,000 m², and a recreation area with a clubhouse for the inhabitants is projected in the central part of the property, promoting social activity.
